Homages Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the production, commenting that he doesn't recollect "any day without laughter".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles court official decided to bar the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a embargo on the cases to prohibit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a record listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the tragedy, public figures expressed different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, offering divisive claims that were widely condemned by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the detractors last week. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "disappointing" and implied they demonstrated a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an adviser could have stepped in when the choice to comment on the death was made.
