I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
