'Living a Nightmare': Families of Missing Young People Desperately Seek Answers After Alpine Inferno
The relatives of teens lost after a tragic blaze at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are enduring an agonising wait for answers and pleading for information about their children via social media.
The fire devastated the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified images reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.
Officials have stated that it could take considerable time to identify the fatalities of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and hurt another scores more. A spokesperson noted on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to locate the final individuals.
In the interim, relatives have been posting on social media to appeal for clues about their friends who were at the bar that evening.
Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For
