WHere is an easy take on a beverage found on the seasonal drinks list. Designed as a party-sized premix which is packed with the flavours of a festive period, rendering it ideal for hosting a celebration. Any leftover citrus syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, puddings, or to make another batch of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 people
To make the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
For the Cocktail (yields 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
To prepare the Cordial: Put every items inside a pan, bring to a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, take off the burner allowing it to cool down fully. Transfer into a sealable bottle, seal and store chilled, where it will keep for around four weeks.
Preparing the Premix: Mix the specified liquid ingredients into a big jug, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then strain preferably using muslin, making it perfectly clear.
To serve: Add 85ml of the premix into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, gently stirring lightly for a minute to chill. Filter into a chilled martini glass or equivalent, garnish with the cranberries adding the final touch with a light spray with the mandarin essence over the drink.
